I loathe when people think that I’m shy rather than introverted. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being shy, I’m just not, and they are two separate things. People cajoling me into social situations try to assure me that I “don’t have to talk to everyone” or that “everyone will love me.”

Bitch, of course they will like me. I am delightful. I just find prolonged social interactions to be extremely exhausting.

Me too, OP.
I know the ending pissed a lot of people off, and I know that the ending gave people violent and unpleasant reactions, but nothing in ME3 will haunt me as much as Thane’s death. I felt physically sick afterward, and I don’t even want to go in to how long I actually cried.
Romanced or not, they took a complete 180 turn from the Thane we all grew to love in ME2. Thane was a man willing to die to protect the galaxy, willing to take on the slim chances of the suicide mission to atone for the sins he committed. But, once woken from his battle sleep he starts to live. Really live. Whether your Shep romances him or not. He becomes afraid of his eminent death, even ashamed of his fear. He would die for the mission, no questions asked, but he was afraid to die too soon. Especially if you romance him.
And in ME3, he was content to waste away in the hospital. Content to watch over your old squad mate while you could not. And if you romanced him? He even says that Shepard wouldn’t want her last memories of him to be in Huerta. But, Thane never leaves. You ask to go somewhere with him and you don’t, you stand up, and make out with him two feet from the chair he sat in.
I know all of the ME2 romances (Except Garrus and Tali.) get shafted in one way or another. You pretty much just get a couple of kisses and some dancing with Jack. Miranda and Shep get to bang one more time. And I don’t even want to talk about how badly Jacobmancers got the boot. But, Thane’s character and mindset flips from ME2 and ME3 and us Siha’s had to watch as the man we grew to love just dies. Nothing but a prayer on his lips.
This is after all of the Thane fans petitioned for a cure for our favorite Drell. After our appraisal of a character that was pretty much fanservice, pretty much put there for our viewing/romancing pleasure. Bioware still killed him off.
I still can’t listen to that prayer without wanting to cry and vomit at the same time.
Thane’s death was utter bullshit.
So was how Bioware dealt with the ME2 romances.
Just, what the fuck, Bioware?
Who are you going to completely fuck over next?
Oh, that’s right, mother fucking Shepard. That’s who you fuck over next.
Sorry for the rant. I just have smh for this crap.

Thank you for putting my feels into words.

Omar Khadr, a sixteen year old Guantanamo Bay detainee weeps uncontrollably, clutching at his face and hair as he calls out for his mother to save him from his torment. “Ya Ummi, Ya Ummi (Oh Mother, Oh Mother),” he wails repeatedly, hauntingly with each breath he takes.

The surveillance tapes, released by Khadr’s defence, show him left alone in an interrogation room for a “break” after he tried complaining to CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) officers about his poor health due to insufficient medical attention. Ignoring his complaints and trying to get him to make false confessions, the officers get frustrated with the sixteen year old’s tears and tell him to get himself together by the time they come back from their break.

“You don’t care about me. Nobody cares about me,” he sobs to them.

The tapes show how the officers manipulated Khadr into thinking that they were helping him because they were also Canadian and how they taunted him with the prospect of home (Canada), (good) food, and familial reunion.

Khadr, a Canadian, was taken into US custody at the age of fifteen, tortured and refused medical attention because he wouldn’t attest to being a member of Al Qaeda, even though he was shot three times in the chest and had shrapnel embedded in his eyes and right shoulder. As a result, Khadr’s left eye is now permanently blind, the vision in his right eye is deteriorating, he develops severe pain in his right shoulder when the temperature drops, and he suffers from extreme nightmares.

He has been incarcerated at Guantanamo Bay since 2002, suffering extremely harsh interrogations and torture (methods), and is now 25 years old.

How can they justify shooting and imprisoning a CHILD

normalized psycopathic behavior at the national level.

This is seriously serial-killer level torturing shit. If a single person did this, capturing a teenage boy and keeping them locked up and treating them like this, we’d call them a serial killer, a predator, a sociopath.

But when the government does it and has several individuals on a lot of levels making it happen, suddenly it’s okay.

Why the hell isn’t this on front page news?
